Past Patients Praise Aspire of Texas

At Aspire of Texas we offer inpatient drug treatment, Lubbock men's sober living, Lubbock women's sober living, and an outpatient program staffed with respected and certified addiction counselors. We have seen countless individuals come through our programs, and leave with a new grasp on life and recovery. Below you can find several testimonials of past clients about their experience at Aspire of Texas.

Aspire taught me how to live life and become an adult, I moved in just having turned 18 and no idea what I was doing, I decided to give Aspire and the staff a chance. I learned basic life skills and I learned about myself. The community at Aspire was what really saved me, I gained life long friendships and we held each other up through our journeys. Aspire pushed me to be the best person I could be, Robin encouraged me to go to college and pursue my dreams. Over four years later I graduated from Texas Tech University (with honors) and I'm entering the recovery field hoping to help others who have had similar struggles. I don't know where I would be without Aspire but I do know that Aspire gave me the opportunity to reevaluate my choices and course of my life. Robin and Erin are two people who truly care about their clients and will do what they can to help.

When I arrived at Aspire in May 2012 most people including myself had little hope of me staying clean and sober. I had been through more treatment programs and sober livings than I wish to say and it always seemed to end the same way with me being asked to leave due to a relapse. I figured Aspire would be the same. However, Aspire was different and because of my time there I continue to have a sobriety date of April 25th, 2012 which is by far the longest I have ever had. During my time there I was able to grow-up and learn to actually be the adult I was supposed to be. I honestly don't know where I would be now if it were not for Erin and Robin and my time at Aspire.

My experience at the Aspire sober living and outpatient treatment program was one of the best experiences I could've had in recovery. It was great being able to bond with other young people getting sober. The staff was easy to work with and gave me the type of accountability I needed in order to learn the life skills I very much needed. I had been to prison and a number of other outpatient programs. Aspire treatment center was by far the best program I had been to! The counsellors made the sessions fun and interactive with us as clients. I developed many relationships with people that I still have to this day and I now have four years sober. The staff gave me the opportunity to get back in school and work on many of my goals. I just graduated and maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout college. I am forever grateful for the people, staff, and friends at Aspire. I still hold all of the relationships I have from this program dear to my heart and still keep in contact with them. They have helped me far beyond general treatment and I am forever grateful for all they have done for me.

Aspire gave me a chance at life. Coming out of treatment for drug and alcohol addiction, I was lost. I was not even sure where to begin. Robin and Erin made me a part of their family and gave me the one on one care and attention I so desperately needed. They gave me the truth that I needed to hear. They showed me that my life mattered, and they pushed me to pursue life. They explained to me that recovery was a chance to live my life beyond my wildest dreams. Aspire was the foundation stone that built a strong fellowship, gave a sense of accountability, and truly transformed my life. I could talk forever about how much Aspire did for me.

I came to Aspire broken, lost, and tired. Fresh out of treatment and starting life all over again, but I had to live clean. Being 17 years old and on my own, I would not have made it without Aspire, Erin, and Robin. Robin and Erin welcomed me into their sober family and made me feel like I could actually do this. They made me feel like I was a person who deserved to be happy, and deserved a second chance at life. I had my moments when I made mistakes, a lot of mistakes... But I always got back up with the encouragement of the Aspire/ Choices community. The bond that I made with some of the girls that lived there with me, is a bond I'm still grateful for today. Women cheering for other women is something that is a really important part of getting clean, and I always had someone cheering me on. I learned how to be a productive member of society again. I didn't just have a drug and alcohol problem, I had a life problem. Aspire gave me my life back. Participating in IOP, groups, going to meetings, was the foundation of my recovery on which I built my life on. I lived at Aspire for a year, and then Robin and Erin asked me to become a house manager for the girls. That was one the biggest honor and blessing that happened in my recovery. Today, I have been clean and sober since March 8th, 2012. And that is solely the result of the program, meetings, fellowship, service work, and Aspire.

Choices gave me the opportunity to be surrounded with people that were serious about their recovery and I could relate and talk about my disease of alcoholism and addiction. I have been in recovery for a little over a year now. I was able to finish school and I'm now working in a facility that centers on recovery. My experience at choices was a very positive one. I am very thankful to Robin and Erin for giving me an opportunity to begin my journey of recovery there.

Aspire has saved my life. It has been such a blessing to live with fellow alcoholics and addicts who share the same drive for recovery. I am able to talk to anyone when I am struggling and they are there to help me. Aspire has taught me how to be a productive member of society by teaching me what healthy relationships are, the importance of getting a job and keeping it, and how to have fun in sobriety.

Living at Choices was a great time for me because I was able to learn how to handle the responsibility that comes along with sobriety. I was fresh out of treatment and sober for the first time in a long time. No matter what life was throwing at me I always had a safe place to call home and people who understood what I was going through. Choices positively enabled and encouraged me to take an active role in my own recovery and I am very grateful for the time I had there.

Choices has provided me a stable environment that has enabled me to remain sober while seeking out a better life for myself. I've been able to maintain steady employment, pursue an education and live with other young sober people. Choices provides the right balance between providing any assistance needed and allowing me to grow on my own. I could not have stayed sober without coming to choices and I'm very grateful for the lifelong friendships I've made here.
